IMPACT Community Development Corporation (IMPACT CDC) is proud to announce the launch of the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) sponsored in part through a grant from the New Jersey State Office of Faith Based Initiatives.
Our innovative academic YLI is designed to provide tutorial programs to fit specific school districts in Essex County, from essential skills such as Mathematics, Language Arts, Literacy and the Sciences to ACT™ and SAT® prep classes as well as state mandated tests. The YLI develops leadership skills through a training program that includes soft skills, effective communication and public speaking skills, self-esteem building and mentorship skills training. The YLI also provides assistance with online searches for scholarship information and completion of scholarship applications with emphasis on essay writing.

Partnerships have been formed with various public school boards of education, private schools, universities and colleges, the nationally acclaimed Points of Light Leadership Institute and the award winning New Jersey Orators, Inc. and collaborative associations continue to be built.
The chief focus of the YLI is to utilize youth to educate and empower youth to build the human and social capital of their own peers. Working within a well-defined collaborative structure, we seek to provide our youth with the tools, skills and support to realize individual prosperity that, in turn, will build the collective prosperity of their own communities.
Whether a student needs to improve skills in core subject areas such as mathematics, language arts, science and history or just help with homework, the Youth Leadership Institute is the answer.
